This week was my first week back with my students! When I walked up to my classroom, I saw a large poster paper out on the floor in front of our room. I instantly thought that my students hadn't picked up after themselves again. I looked down and read the poster and it said "Welcome back Ms. King! We missed you!" All of my students signed the poster and when I walked into the classroom, they all attacked me yelling "Ms. King! We missed you so much!" Mrs. Anderson walked over to me and gave me a stack of 25 Cards from the students. On the outside of the cards, there were pictures and on the inside there was a letter from each of the students telling me how much they missed me and wanted me back, and that they hoped I feel better. Let me tell you, my cards were a hoot. Most of them said something sweet, and then some of them said that they would buy me ice cream, or give me money. One student in particular, Alex, said that we would give me $20 to buy ice cream! I am the luckiest teacher ever to be able to have students who care so much about me! This makes me want to start my own teaching job, in my own classroom. The teaching profession is the best profession in the world!
