WOW! Do I love my internship or what?! Walking into Alanton Elementary for the first time ever was extraordinary! I was greeted by the most kindest staff that I have ever met. By living in Pungo and going to Creeds Elementary, I have been around a close knit community my whole life. Alanton Elementary greeted me like I was family and like I had known them my whole life. This made me even more excited to meet my cooperating teacher. When I stepped foot into my new home, the kids greeted me with a warm, loud "GOODMORNING!" Mrs. Anderson introduced me to them as Ms. King and told them that I would be with them all year. The kids really took a liking to me. One of the 4 girls in the classroom even walked up to me, grabbed my hand, and told me, "Ms. King, I feel like we're going to be bestfriends." I honestly died of happiness. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but Mrs. Anderson's first grade class!
